The long awaited, much anticipated Romy Schneider exhibition will finally open its doors on December 5 this year. The exhibition has been a long time in the making and will include film posters, photos, film clips, costumes, and private correspondence of the famous German-Austrian actress. Most of the exhibits come from private collections, including the late Claude Sautet (1924 - 2000), with whom Schneider collaborated on several films. Initially, the exhibition was supposed to open last year, to commemorate Schneider's 70th birthday, however, due to endless copyright issues, not to mention the difficulties of locating exhibits, artefacts, etc. as there is no such thing as a Romy Schneider Archive, it had to be postponed.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a retrospective of Schneider's films.
Romy Schneider (1938 - 1982).
An image of the exhibition poster will follow as soon as it is available.
